Monday
Today’s writing activity can be summed up in one word: Pinterest. As much as I say I want to nix social media from my life, it seems I continue to look for ways to be present online. At least with Pinterest, I hope to use it as a storyboard and not necessarily a place to build numbers. HOW exactly this plays out remains to be seen.
I’ve been enjoying finding images to share about Guam for my later-in-life women’s fiction project. As soon as I’m done with this journal entry, I’m going to do some more character analysis and narrative planning.
I also need to finish Strawberry Moon Mystery, the short story in the Olivia Lively world. Also, of course, Rosalie in Progress. So much to do, so little energy to do it.
Guam is beautiful, but I seem to have an allergy to it. I thought I was getting a cold, but as it’s coming and going, I’m thinking it’s “just” allergies. I don’t know what’s worse, to be honest. At least with illness, you get better. With allergies it’s a constant.
Later this afternoon, C. and I are going to drive around the island to check out more villages and apartment complexes/houses for possible rental.
I can’t wait to get settled in someplace (hopefully our stuff arrives off the shipping container soon!) so I can get down to business writing. Yes, writing can happen anywhere, anytime, but I’m a little distracted with this move.
I’ll be writing a blog entry for Type M for Murder this Friday as well as sending out my next Pink Dandelions newsletter. Meanwhile, check out my Pinterest boards. https://www.pinterest.com/burbank0539/
